Our Story

Mary Campbell Preschool was built in the 1970's by Michael & Mary Campbell when the Campbell family moved to Sydney and found nowhere they felt comfortable leaving their two youngest children. With the inspired idea to create their own preschool the "Mary Campbell Preschool Dream" was started, beginning with the hopes of two rooms for 3 to 5 year olds.

Since the beginning Mary Campbell has witnessed many changes to the preschool her husband built for her family, from the changing of the outdoor play structure to the addition of a new room and the adoption of new learning techniques and equipment, one thing however has never changed - the most important thing is the children. Mary's hope was to put the children first and to give them experiences and memories they will cherish forever.

Mary still lives upstairs and enjoys hearing about what the children are doing each day from both her daughters (Brigid & Marita) who now run the preschool, as well as stories of old children all grown up and coming back with their own.
